There are several types of Microsoft Certification that professionals obtain in order to advance their careers. The certifications encompass the development and production of software and database solutions under the scope of the Microsoft brand. The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, or MCSE, is the most typical certification, and it equips the professional with analytical, design and implementation skills for information systems solutions within a business setting, using either the Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Server. The Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, or MCSA, enables professionals to perform system administrator duties on Windows operating systems and servers. There are a set of exams required for these certifications, ranging from the Office Specialist, Application Developer, Database Administrator or the Systems Engineer, depending on the student’s specialty.
