Professionals working as systems administrators or database engineers often pursue an Oracle Certification during their employment. Oracle Certifications come in three separate categories, depending on the level of experience the professional has. The Oracle Certified Associate program is the junior certification course that provides the foundation for database and web administration and development. The second level of certification, Oracle Certified Professional program, is for those professionals managing larger databases and who are looking to advance their career. The highest certification, Oracle Certified Master program, is for advanced knowledge of complex database issues. There are several designations that a successful graduate can obtain from these programs, including Oracle9i Database Administrator, Oracle Application Server 9i Web Administrator, Internet Application Development or Oracle Database 10g Administrator.
