A Desktop Applications Degree provides students with the knowledge of computer applications such as PC-based applications, Apple applications or more specific applications like Microsoft Office. They will obtain skills in the use of MS Office products such as Outlook, Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. These applications are the core for many business and personal computer systems. Students will also receive more general training in operating systems, user interfaces and other industry standards. Areas of information technology that graduates of this program often find themselves include troubleshooting, computer repair, managing computer information systems and the general administration of networks.
