A Sun Certification ensures that successful candidates are proficient in the Java programming language, and they are administered by Sun Microsystems in order to validate professional knowledge of Java. There are several types of Sun Certification, including: Sun Certified Enterprise Architect (SCEA), Sun Certified Java Associate (SCJA), Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJD), Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP), Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD), Sun Certified Developer for Java Web Services (SCDJWS), Sun Certified Business Component Developer (SCBCD), and Sun Certified Mobile Application Developer (SCMAD). Those who successfully complete one of these certification programs will have the skills required in complex Java programming, development and design. Most certification will equip a professional with in-depth knowledge of Java objects, content and development across many platforms. This certification is used in combination with an information technology background in education, as well as some experience, in order for professionals to increase their salaries, expertise and competency.
