Professionals with a Construction Management designation are able to enter the construction industry and apply technical designs, supervision and administration expertise. The manager of a particular construction site is responsible for all of the areas of the current construction, and must report directly to the site’s owner. Managers will work with laborers and contractors, and must be able to problem-solve, communicate effectively and perform some basic construction tasks. A certificate or Associates Degree is typically all that is required of these professionals, although some employers look for a Bachelors or Masters degree as well.
