Restaurant Management degrees provide the graduate with the knowledge of both front and back office procedures, as well as the day-to-day operations of all of the aspects of restaurants and hotels, from the reception desk, to the kitchen. Restaurant and Hotel Management degree holders will be able to make effective decisions and manage large groups of people, assuring the success of the hotel or food service business. They will also manage purchasing and staffing, and can be managers of the different parts of a hotel, such as the hotel’s kitchen or restaurant, customer relations, or housekeeping. Any hotel and restaurant cannot be run by one person alone, and takes a knowledgeable well-rounded educated person to make the business the best it can be.
