The ability to pursue a career in accounting while not having an actual account degree can be made possible by earning a Certificate in Accounting. It allows certificate holders to then apply to become a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) by taking the CPA exam. Certificate programs take less time to complete, but can still provide the student with a good starting point in entering a new career in accounting.
