Private Detective |
While the Hollywood version of a Detective relies on trench coats, fedoras and dark smoky offices, a true Private Investigator’s job can be more involved and less glamorous. Criminal detection relies on communication, research, and investigation skills. Usually a Private Investigator will do background investigations, surveillance, use professional investigation equipment, be versed in litigation and intelligence gathering. While the job may still be exciting, it is a serious profession, and a good Private Investigator can help recover missing persons and expose crimes. Licensing may be required on top of any degree programs offered.
