An online Operations Management Degree prepares a student for a position as an Operations Manager. In that role, they oversee and direct the operations of a company, department, or organization. They also create procedures and policies, control inventory and distribution, create employee schedules, and many other duties to help a business run smoothly and efficiently. Operations managers tend to work closely with CEOs, as many of their duties may overlap. Many schools offer degree programs in Operations management in bachelor’s master’s, and even at the doctoral level.
