Educational Leadership |
Professionals with an educational leadership degree are able to motivate, inspire, and encourage the staff of a school to perform at their highest levels of quality. Educational leaders are able to think critically about the problems that schools and school systems face, in order to solve them. Some examples of these problems are increased school violence, decreased funding, and the proper formation of curriculum development. By taking a leadership role in the school system, graduates can expect to obtain a position such as a principal or superintendent. Common courses in an educational leadership degree include the mechanics of instruction, general and specific organization, and business proficiency. This degree usually requires a Master or PhD level of study, although there are some Bachelor of Education degrees that include some aspects of educational leadership within their general education curriculum.
