In 1922, Eastern Kentucky University opened its doors as Eastern Kentucky State Normal School & Teachers College. Since then, it has been providing higher education to over 110,000 students. With the addition of Eastern Kentucky UniversityOnline and their Distance Learning programs, students can enroll in over 160 courses either via the internet or Interactive TV (ITV) courses. EKU Online also boasts one of the lowest tuition rates in the region.
